Treillage/finished!!

Treillage by Anita Peluso

Very happy with my new socks, they only took a year to finish!
The pattern was easy and the Opal 4ply was very nice to work with.
These would have to be the brightest thing in my wardrobe now....oo maybe my shocking pink fury jacket is???
I noticed on Ravelry that I only have 13 more wips! Now 13 is unlucky so I think I'll need to add a new wip just to make it 14:)
Oh and if you want to see some thing truelly dark and creepy have a look at my arty crafty blog!

Monday

Comfy Log Cabin Socks

I loved knitting these socks. And have enough wool to make a couple more....hmmm one for me and one for my sister and one for?????
Don't know what the yarn is as it was given to me by a friend and she had kept it for some years.
At the moment I have an awful flu, I'm supposed to be back at work today but wouldn't wish myself upon anybody just yet. well off to make another cup of my mother's tea remedies....
1 knob of ginger, sliced,
1 clove of garlic crushed,
1/2 slice lemon, chopped, black tea,
1 tablespoon of honey and dried mint leaves.
Mix with 2 cups of water.

Bring to the boil, turn down heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Strain into mug and drink!!

Saturday

block of chocolate socks

block of chocolate socks, originally uploaded by _BlackCrow.

finally finished these scrummy warm chocolate socks.
The free pattern came from the crafty mind of Cindy at 2Paw.blogspot!

Wednesday

somethings finished, somethings started

The Kim Hargreave's Pagan take two is finished!!!!!! It only took a year longer than expected!!
I think I knitted it better than the first time and I definitely finished it off a lot better.

I took it for show and tell last Saturday to our knitting group and everyone was suitably impressed, and I don't think I had to even prod them with the pointy end of my 15mm needles!
Only a few more days to go before I'm back at work, so I'm trying to get as many wips and I've been meaning to make this like forever list. Pagan was first off the rank and now its time t0 complete my 'block of chocolate socks', designed by the one and only 2paw.

Finaly finished "Flora"! frilled to bits with this and looking forward to flashing it around town!
Like the use of all my F's?

The lovely green vintage button is one I bought on Ebay, I think it works...any comments?
Still having lots of self stirpping sock wool and in need now of more projects...I was online this morning checking out sock patterns on Ravelry...I found these two, Twinkle Twinkle and Treillage
And here is my next new sock pattern knitted with Heirlooms "Jigsaw"

Friday

Jacobean socks FINISHED!

I'm liking this knitting toe up and short row heel business. Now I just have to get back to my regular sleep patterns and get a life....well till the second sock pentathlon starts!
Another good thing about knitting toe up is that it hides your toes when taking progress pics!
Yesterday I also finished another Calico bunny you can view him here at my arty crafty blog or here at my ETSY store.

Tuesday

I nearly forgot that I had to down load this pattern when I arrived home after our S&B meeting..blame it on the coffee and yummy friandes. So it wasn’t till about 11 at night that I madly switched the computer and printer on and found the pattern. downloaded it, read it and then felt that sinking feeling…POO! I’ve never knitted toe up or used magic looping!…Switched everything off and began to sulk on the sofa. Then from the corner of my eye I noticed my bag of chocolate covered coffee beans, the ones I’d bought to keep me going during the pentathlon. I remembered too that I hadn’t wound my skein into a ball yet either so I madly rushed to do it listening to some fast paced music. Then I thought ‘ah what the hell its not midnight yet lets see if I can find some info on Magic looping’. Some one had posted a site on yahoo where you can watch a tutorial..of course it was on UTube.
After several goes I managed to cast on and work a few rows. Oooo this looks pretty..I almost finished my first pattern but just couldn't keep my peepers open and I’d finished all my chocolate coffee beans. Off to bed for me. march the 1st was also the first day of Autumn so I’m rather pleased with the colour as it has Autumn leaves written all over it. The pattern also goes well with this wool.

2paws, look at me 1paw

Chocolate block sock update..I've already had comments made to me by visitors dropping in how much they love the pattern..hmm maybe it was a hint that they want me to knit them a pair.
Since these knit up pretty quick (if I didn't have other socks on the go I would have been finished) maybe I will just to suprise them.
Looking forward to cosing the gap.
They're a good pattern 2Paw thank you for sharing it.
Doesn't the chocolate sock wool from live2knit look yummy?

Sunday

look at my feet

I finished the second sock last night I was sooo happy even though I had trouble again with the 'Kitchener stitch' which I used to graft the toe bits together. But I like this stitch as its a neater finish than the three needle bind off!
So what do you think Katt , did I do your Denim Girl justice?
I have still some Denim Girl left I'm wondering what to do with it.....maybe a Jess Hutchinson snake???
I have 2 more pairs of socks on the go both 'Jaywalkers' and there lookin' good. I thought I was going to start another pair whilst watching Doctor Who but I soon realized that I only ordered the sock wool last week and it hadn't arrived yet....ahhhhhh poo!.
