look me garters are showing!

Its finished and I can put away those bi-focal lenses for a while.
I tried to knit a little flower to sew over the seam but dang it it just didn't look right. So I whipped out my tiny trusty ol' crochet hook and crocheted a little rose then sewed a purl bead in the centre.
In a little while I'm off to see the recipient...I'm nervous as hell I hope she likes it and it fits.
She is a bit worried about it slipping down her ankles during the ceremony.

fingers and toes crossed!

I'd like to make a few more of these for myself in different colours. The pattern was easy to follow and the sewing up wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.

I found a few vintage crochet patterns for garters so I might try these too.

That is so beautiful and the work is so delicate. I think I might have needed a magnifying glass. I am sure it will be extremely Gartery in every way!!!! Mucky recipient I say!!

So pretty and fine, you must be nearly blind now! I think the flower finishes it off really nicely.
